Raven Creature was born in California. She moved to New Orleans in 2002 and quit her day job in March 2010 to sell art in Jackson Square, the iconic artists market. Her work is also available at the Great Artists' Collective, and Studio 831, both on Royal Street in the Quarter, and online at ravencreature.com. She is currently pursuing her BFA of Art University.

Raven's artistic goal is to bring the ideas, textures, light and shadow into play to create melding of faces, eyes, and surrealist landscapes. What was figurative has morphed into surrealism, and what was surrealism is morphing into something completely new. Raven loves working in oil, but also utilizes acrylic, ink, encaustic (beeswax, Damar resin, and pigment), string, paper, charcoal, graphite, clay, pastels, found objects and rusted metal. She also does realistic portraiture by appointment.
